Inspires fund – providing resources for branding the city and its history, business, industrial, artistic and scientific communities through sculpture, signage, street furniture and lighting initiatives – delivering civic pride by recognising major assets of the city, past, present and planned.
Culture
European Capital of Culture fund – securing Coventry’s 2020 success in the UK bid for Europe’s premier city of culture capital.
Lobbying and grant fund – providing funding for lobbying and achieving public sector grant support to restore and revive historical buildings and deliver new developments. This will ensure the evolution of the city environment to a standard exceeding other major cities according to defined benchmarks.
Reconciliation – building on Coventry’s reputation as a world centre for reconciliation by generating private, public and European sector finance for building a World Centre for Reconciliation. This will be able to host an International Children’s Forum and act as a global centre for arbitrating and resolving disputes peacefully.
